Droplets of Peace

A Drop, A Wave, An Ocean

Home

Hello Visitor!

My name is Mike, and I’d like to welcome you to my blog – Droplets of Peace.  Through my life, I have tried to learn as much as possible to understand the issues concerning Peace and Nonviolence.

I teach a course in Peace Studies, and in order to bring the material alive, I’ve had to educate myself, too, regarding such issues as:  the nature of peace and violence, strategic and principled nonviolence, inner peace, social activism, Gandhi, King, gender and peace, language and peace, and the military industrial complex.  Does this make me an expert?  No, but I have a passion for learning more each day and being transformed into a person of peace.  It’s no easy task!

Each day on this blog, I hope to share another post  with you – a droplet if you will – regarding the world of Peace, Nonviolence and Peacemaking.  Please click on the word “POSTS” in the next sidebar to see what I have added that day – a video clip, a book review, a poem, a PowerPoint file, or simply my own musings for the day.  In the comments window, I encourage you to share your own thoughts with me, as well as any ideas you may have for me to include in the future.

Indeed, the ocean is made up of drops of water – such as you and me!
In Peace,
Mike
